CleanFlying Coalition

Global Appearance Partners was founded under the idea that there should be a better way to manage fleet aesthetics. As the nation’s only aircraft detailing management company, we have been uniquely positioned from the outset of COVID-19 to help keep our customers aircraft clean and healthy.

For the last 10 years we have been providing aircraft detailing management services to both fractional and charter operators large and small, and have established a network of approved vendors that stretches coast to coast covering over 350 airports. With having almost 1,000 aircraft being managed and 40,000 scheduled cleaning events in that time, our ability to respond to the immediate needs of our customers is unparalleled. As a management company, we operate as an extension of both operations and maintenance to manage the entire aircraft detailing process from booking through completion. We provide a 24/7 single point of contact solution with a streamlined and consolidated process so that our customers’ cleaning requests are processed and tracked the moment they are requested. Our goal has been to eliminate any confusion and frustration around booking aircraft cleanings.

Over the last several years we have built a custom software platform and app called Atlas from the ground up, designed around our end to end process. It allows us to receive requests, book with vendors, provide real-time updates and log all bookings and communication history for reference in the future. With new features coming in the next few weeks and months, customers and vendors alike will a have a single destination for everything related to aircraft cleanings.

We partner with vendors around the country to ensure that we have the coverage available nationwide to serve our customers. What's important to know about our vendor network is that all our vendors are thoroughly vetted. Part of the process to become a partner vendor of ours is that we do a preliminary audit of the company. We make sure they have the necessary and appropriate insurance, that they are using only aviation grade and aviation approved products, that they take the time to train and re-train their employees, and that they practice and put an emphasis on safety. We focus on partnering with the best vendors whose business is specifically aircraft detailing and are passionate at what they do.

Working with vendors who have this passion, and who work hard to move our corner of the industry forward, enables Global to set a more uniform standard so that our customers have a consistent and great experience regardless of location.

We work hard to build lasting relationships with both vendors and customers so that both can worry less about the overall logistics involved of coordination and tracking, and focus on their roles of providing excellent service to their customers.

COVID-19 Notes

During the early stages of the shutdown, a lot of flying just stopped. There were days where we saw only a fraction of the daily cleanings that we are used to. At the same time, our customers were rushing to find solutions to protect their customers, crews, and aircraft for the flights they were still performing and in anticipation of whatever flying may return.

We quickly worked with our vendor network to assess the status and availability of disinfecting products that were both effective and safe to use on board an aircraft. We even helped to source some products for those vendors who were having a difficult time purchasing more products.

One of the first issues we saw were people grabbing household cleaning products to use inside their aircrafts. Products like Clorox and Lysol, while effective at killing germs, are not great for aircraft surfaces. They can break down protective clear-coats, sap moisture out of porous soft-goods products like leather, and slowly deteriorate various products and surfaces inside the cabin. Cleaning and disinfecting a multi-million-dollar aircraft takes a specialized approach. We first worked with our vendor network and then with our customers to offer various solutions and products from a one-time disinfect to product applications that have published holder over time of weeks and months. These product applications along with increased cleanings helped to ensure that the aircraft still being operated during the pandemic were as clean and as healthy as they could be.
